aleksey volkov is an honoured artist of russia, a leading teacher of the russian school of saxophones, soloist of the bolshoy orchestra, and a senior lecturer at the ippolitov-ivanov institute. he has had a busy concert career from the early 1980s, appearing as a soloist with many famous orchestras, including the ussr state academy symphony orchestra, the bolshoy theatre symphony orchestra, and academy symphony orchestra conducted by pavel kogan, among others.
